THE REFLECTED DISTORTIONS OF ISOLATION
This photo series explores the distortion of reality during quarantine. This work documents aspects of isolation, through reflections off of home surfaces.
I presented this exploration in a series of black and white photographs taken with my smartphone. I also utilised a fisheye lens to further distort some of the images. Text is very important in this work because it aids in narrating my story of lockdown.
Through this work I learnt that we reflect off of so many surfaces that often go unnoticed. So in this work, I am able to explore the possibility of the retention of these lost visuals, as a documentation of isolation.
